Sybase ASE SELinux Module

LHQG is now the official home of the SELinux policy module intended to confine the Sybase ASE server processes (dataserver, backupserver, ...) and protect the Sybase instance/database files (configuration, data, logs, ...).

Hubert Quarantel-Colombani was the prime author of this module maintained in collaboration with Laurent Gaillard.

This module is available OpenSource under GPLv3 licence on GitHub at URL: https://github.com/lhqg/selinux_sybase/

LHQG distributes this SELinux module in RPM format for Fedora and Enterprise Linux (RHEL, CentOS, AlmaLinux...):

  • sybase-selinux: contains and installs SELinux compiled code,
  • sybase-systemd: contains systemd units (services, targets, ...) to control Sybase ASE instances/servers,
  • sybase-selinux-devel: contains SELinux macros allowing to develop additional SELinux modules to easily interface Sybase clients.

These RPM packages are also available in the online maintained by LHQG.
